School Visit at Ecole Sainte Marguerite Bourgeoy

I had a great time with the Grade 3s and Grade 4s at Ecole Sainte Marguerite Bourgeoy in Calgary. Two groups of children (approximately 100 in total) attended two half hour sessions in the library. We talked about how the Boulton Quest Series came to be, writing, revision, and book cover design. They had a ton of questions, lots of answers, and enjoyed a few surpise pictures of the dogs. The children were attentive, curious, polite and fun.

I wish to thank the teachers and staff at Ecole Sainte Marguerite Bourgeoy for inviting me into their school and my wife, Tracy, for taking the picutres.

Market Your Writing or Write for the Market

I was recently asked by Litpick, a great organization encouraging reading through children’s book reviews, to write some guest posts for them. My second article is titled “Market Your Writing or Write for the Market.”

The article can be accessed through this link:

I hope you enjoy it.
